Student Information System (SIS)
The part of a school system that holds each student's permanent record: personal details, family, documents, enrolment history, transfers and TC.
An SIS is the core of school software. A good SIS keeps one permanent identity per child, with each admission, yearly enrolment, section change, transfer and re-admission recorded as history rather than overwritten. Siblings are linked through shared guardians.
