Exams are rules. SSMS keeps them as rules, not formulas in Excel.

Periodic tests worth 10, notebook submission worth 5, the best two of three tests, half-yearly scaled to 30, practicals for Science only, a minimum of 33% in theory and practical separately, grace up to five marks in one subject... Every school's scheme is different, and most keep it in an Excel workbook that only one teacher understands.

SSMS stores the assessment scheme as data for each board, session, class and stream: terms and their weights, components with maximum marks, how they combine (sum, average, best-of-N, scaled), grading scales such as the CBSE 9-point and co-scholastic 3-point scales, pass rules, grace limits and moderation caps. Ready-made patterns cover common CBSE structures for VI–VIII, IX–X and XI–XII, which you adjust instead of starting from scratch.

A question bank teachers actually use

Questions are stored by subject, class and topic with their type (MCQ, assertion–reason, case-based, short, long and more), marks, difficulty, Bloom level and outcomes. Every question is reviewed by someone other than its author before it can be used. A paper is generated from a blueprint — marks by unit, Bloom level, difficulty and type — in sets A and B without repeats, printed on your template with an answer key, and approved before the exam.

Marks you can trust

Teachers enter totals or question-by-question marks only for the sections they teach, with codes for absent, medical and exempt. Objective answers are marked automatically against the key. A second person verifies each mark sheet, then it is locked; unlocking needs a reason. Hall tickets respect fee blocking, so students with dues are held with the reason shown.

What Examinations & Question Bank does

01Assessment schemes per board

Terms, components, weightage, combine rules, grading scales, pass and grace rules and moderation — configured, versioned and locked once an exam uses them.

02Question bank with review

Ten question types, topic paths, Bloom levels and outcomes; draft → review → approved life-cycle with the reviewer never the author.

03Blueprint-based papers

Generate papers and parallel sets that meet your blueprint exactly, report any shortfall honestly, swap similar questions, and print with an answer key.

04Date sheets and hall tickets

Suggested date sheets that skip Sundays and holidays, numbered hall tickets on your template, with fee-blocked students held and listed.

05Question-wise marks entry

Enter totals or marks per question, with automatic marking of objective answers and codes for absent, medical and exempt.

06Verification and locks

A verifier who did not enter the marks checks each sheet; locked sheets feed results, and every status change is audited.

07Moderation and grace by rule

Moderation proposed by one person and approved by another; grace applied by rule only where it changes the outcome.

08AI-drafted questions

Use your school's own Gemini, OpenAI or Claude key to draft questions for a topic and Bloom level — saved as drafts for teachers to review.
