Syllabus completion shouldn't be a guess in the staff meeting
Ask a coordinator in September how far Class 9-C has got in Mathematics and the honest answer is usually "I'll check with the teacher". By the time the gap is discovered, half-yearly exams are two weeks away.
In SSMS the academic coordinator sets up the curriculum plan for each class and subject — units, chapters and topics, each with planned periods, term and dates — and links learning outcomes with their Bloom level and course outcome. Teachers log what they taught after each class in a few taps. Completion then rolls up automatically: by topic, by section, by teacher and by subject, against the plan.
Subjects that stay linked across classes
Mathematics in Class 8 becomes Mathematics Standard or Basic in Class 10; General Science splits into Physics, Chemistry and Biology. SSMS keeps these in subject families, so a student's performance can be followed across years even as subject names change. Compulsory, optional and elective-group subjects and senior-secondary combinations are set per class and stream, and students' choices are recorded with seat limits respected.
Observations and feedback
Teachers record observations about a student — a strength, a concern, a note — and choose whether to share them with the parent. Feedback surveys for parents or students about each subject and teacher go out as private links, with an anonymous option where nobody, not even the admin, can tie answers to a family.
What Curriculum, Syllabus & Lesson Tracking does
01Subjects, families and combinations
Scholastic and co-scholastic subjects, theory and practical, compulsory, optional and elective groups, and the allowed combinations for Classes XI–XII.
02Curriculum tree
Units → chapters → topics with planned periods, term and dates for each class and subject, shared by all its sections.
03Learning outcomes, Bloom & CO/PO
Outcomes carry a Bloom level and course outcome; COs link to programme outcomes with strengths — the basis for outcome-based assessment.
04Import or copy forward
Import a syllabus from Excel, or copy last year's plan, outcomes and CO mappings into the new session in one step.
05Lesson logs by teachers
Teachers log date, section, topic and periods for the classes allocated to them; coordinators can log for everyone.
06Completion dashboard
Covered topics and taught vs planned periods by class, section, subject and teacher — spot the lagging section weeks before exams.
07Observations shared with parents
Record strengths and concerns, optionally share one message with the parent, and keep a follow-up date.
08Feedback surveys
Subject- and teacher-wise surveys for parents or students via private links, with response rates, averages and comments; anonymous mode available.
