For campuses that are small towns

Residential and large day schools run guest houses for visiting examiners and parents, provide quarters to staff, and pay electricity bills for both. These are usually tracked in separate registers, with rent and electricity deductions worked out by hand each month.

SSMS handles guest rooms — guest houses, room types and tariffs (or free), amenities priced per night or per use — with booking requests, approval, a calendar that prevents double booking, check-in with ID proof, and billing to the guest, a department or a staff member's salary. Staff quarters are allotted with eligibility and wait-lists, monthly rent and amenity charges, and handover checklists, with deductions through payroll. Utility bills are entered by meter reading or amount, split when shared, and either deducted from salary or paid directly — with unpaid bills feeding exit clearance.
