A trust with five schools usually ends up with five copies of the same software — or five different products — and a head office that stitches reports together in Excel. Students who move between branches are re-admitted from scratch; parents with children in two branches get two logins.
SSMS is multi-tenant by design: a client (your trust or society) owns one or many schools. Each school has its own boards, sessions, classes, fee structures, number series and staff, while the group shares people, masters and permissions where it makes sense. A parent with children in two branches has one login. A student transferring between branches keeps their identity and history.
The group office sees consolidated dashboards — students, collection, dues, staff — school by school, and users can be given access to one school, several or all. Large groups can choose a dedicated database, created and kept up to date automatically, and their own domain.
