Small transactions, big trust questions
Canteens, tuck shops, uniform and book shops handle hundreds of small sales a day. Children carry cash, parents don't know what is being bought, and the school can't easily reconcile what a vendor owes it.
In SSMS each outlet — run by the school or an external vendor — has its own number series, receipt template and payment account. The sales screen supports scanning, a cart and discounts; payment is by student wallet, cash, UPI or card. Parents top up the wallet online or at the counter and see a statement of what was spent. Returns, day close and settlement to the vendor are recorded, and sales, GST, wallet and vendor payables post to the accounts automatically.
