Late Fee
An extra charge applied when a fee instalment is paid after its due date, usually after some grace days and up to a cap.
Late fees can be fixed, a percentage, per day, or by slab. Fair late fees are predictable: clear grace days, a clear rate and a cap, applied the same way for every family by the system rather than calculated at the counter.
